Acoustic Testing

We offer a broad range of acoustic testing services that are suited to the rating or diagnostic testing and acoustic design of different sectors including standard test procedures and bespoke research. 

UKAS Accredited Acoustic Testing

We currently offer the following acoustic tests with UKAS accreditation (UKAS accredited Testing Laboratory No. 1262):

  • Sound Insulation Testing to BS EN ISO 10140-2:2021 / BS EN ISO 717-1:2020

  • Impedance tube testing for normal incidence sound absorption and transmission loss to BS EN 10534-2

  • Ventilation duct silencer testing BS EN ISO 7235:2009 / BS EN ISO 11820:1997
  • Measurement of Insertion Loss of Hearing Protection Devices using MIRE or ATF Methods described in ANSI/ASA S12.42 – 2010 or BS EN BS EN ISO 11904-1:2002
  • High level testing of aircraft and spacecraft components to conform to required standards for example MIL-STD 810G METHOD 515.7 or DEF STAN 00-35 Chapter 2-08, ‘Test M8 – Acoustic Noise Test Using a Reverberation Chamber’ (levels up to 140 dB)

As a result we have helped many companies in the past to either improve the audio performance of existing products and also to create new products that help give them a new foothold on the market.
